Ronald L. Samuels, Chairman, CEO and President of Avenue Bank, today announced the availability of mobile banking services for Avenue clients.

“We’re very pleased to provide mobile banking services to our clients,” Mr. Samuels said. “Everyone and everything is going mobile. For people who depend on their cell phones for everything from their appointment calendar to their grocery list, they want to be able to access their bank account via their mobile as well. And we want to provide our clients with every convenience to make banking easier.”

Avenue Bank clients can now access their accounts via their web-enabled mobile device for free. The new service enables customers to review accounts and balances, transfer funds, view account transactions, history, and details – all from their hand-held mobile device.

Avenue Bank client Marshall Benhard, owner of Master Restoration Group in Nashville, is an enthusiastic user of the new service.

“I live off the information on my phone because my business keeps me on the road,” Mr. Benhard said. “I don’t sit down in front of a computer more than once a week, and my phone is always with me, all the time. So, the convenience of this service is just what I need and it helps me keep my finances organized. That’s important to me as a business owner.”

Mobile banking links directly to the bank’s online banking with screens modified to be viewed on a mobile device. Clients must be signed up for online banking to have mobile access; however, there is no additional enrollment, nor applications to download. The service is free from Avenue Bank, but some mobile service providers might charge users for Internet access.
