NetCraft Communications is pleased to announce the immediate release of a major update to its Versiera Infrastructure Management System, including new groundbreaking technology for rendering and visualizing large-scale cloud and enterprise network infrastructures.
"Our goal was to leapfrog the competition. Whether it’s for enterprise or for the Internet, with this major update we accomplished that by delivering innovative new technologies and advances in scalability, in the process ensuring that Versiera remains unmatched as an Internet infrastructure management service," said NetCraft CEO, Ed Aarntzen. "Our scalability is unmatched. We have pushed this technology in a direction that will let users visualize and continuously update network maps with 50,000 devices and more, while allowing administrators to fully interact with these visualizations. In doing so we have surpassed similar enterprise solutions from HP, IBM, Microsoft and CA."
Versiera Network Maps are the first in the industry to adopt and make use of the HTML 5 elements, which can already be rendered on Chrome, Opera, Safari and Firefox. System and network administrators can now visualize their network infrastructures and communications within the enterprise, as well as, those extending out to the Internet.

The face of enterprise technology is changing. Enterprise applications and infrastructure are no longer confined to corporate locales, having been deployed to a growing market of Internet Cloud Services. With Versiera, NetCraft has created new technologies to address these changes.
“The technology from the big four – HP, IBM, Microsoft and CA – is outdated and no longer relevant,” stated NetCraft CTO, Frank Pikelner. “Solutions relying on outdated, insecure management protocols, intrusive discovery methods, agent-less access and restricted platform support are just wrong. What is key today is the ability to securely and seamlessly manage technology, irrespective of platform, no matter where it may reside. Versiera does these things. It lets administrators manage more quickly, provides them with all of the information they need, and requires no training to use."
Versiera allows for secure management and monitoring of technology infrastructures within the enterprise and outside of it. Versiera assigns and manages digital certificates to all managed systems, authenticates and encrypts all communications, and can restrict communication to that which originates from managed hosts, thus providing protection from potentially harmless inbound management communications.
Cross-platform support includes management and monitoring of Windows, OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, OpenWRT and DD-WRT.
About NetCraft Communications:
In 2006, Versiera became the first Internet hosted application service for infrastructure monitoring and management with support for a broad spectrum of operating systems and hardware platforms. NetCraft Communications continues to innovate with its unique technology and broaden its support for embedded platforms.
