Optima Health announced that there will be no increase in the base rate for its individual health insurance plans. Unlike many other individual health insurance companies that have raised their rates significantly, Optima Health will not increase its base rates for the second consecutive quarter. Optima Health will continue its policy of 12-month rate guarantees to provide members with the ability to anticipate and plan their monthly expenditures.

"With health care costs continuing to rise and no relief in sight, we are committed to keeping individual premiums more competitive than ever," said Stephen J Cindrich, Director of Product Development, Optima Health. "We are doing this by keeping the renewal rate for our individual health insurance plans the same as the new business rate. We will not raise the rates for existing customers in order to subsidize new ones."

"It's so important that individuals have access to quality, comprehensive health insurance in Virginia, and we make it possible with our excellent rates and first-class customer service," added Cindrich. "Our Personal Plan Advisors can guide new and current clients through the plan selection process to find the plan that fits their lifestyle needs and more importantly their budget."
