New York, NY (PRWEB) March 19, 2010
The Association of Medical Media (AMM) is pleased to recognize Joe Dennehy of Cleveland Clinic and Megan Boorjian of Quadrant/Pulmonary Reviews as the winners of the 18th Annual AMM Nexus Representatives of the Year Awards. The winners were announced today during the Nexus Awards Reception in New York City. This year’s event was presented at a new location, Inside Park at St. Bart’s, and for the first time in a new cocktail reception format.
The AMM Nexus Representatives of the Year Awards honor those who exemplify the qualities of outstanding sales professionals, including superior service, professionalism, and communication of ideas. By setting an industry standard and rewarding those who meet that standard, AMM hopes to inspire others and reinforce the value of journal advertising.
The AMM Nexus Awards honor two advertising sales representatives—one from a primary care or multi-specialty publication and one from a specialty publication—who this year have demonstrated an extraordinary ability to keep advertisers connected to all that’s new in the industry, the market, and the media. They are the Nexus, the vital link, between advertisers and their audience. Media directors were asked to nominate sales representatives who best exemplified the spirit of Nexus. This year for the first time, the selection process looked at the nominees’ representation of both print and online vehicles available through their publications.
This year’s winner in the Specialty Publication category is Megan Boorjian. Megan represents Quadrant’s Pulmonary Reviews. Pulmonary Reviews is a monthly news magazine for physicians who specialize in pulmonary and/or critical care medicine. It provides physicians with information on disorders that affect the lungs and respiratory tract. Articles cover such topics as asthma, ARDS, pneumonia, influenza, sepsis, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, sleep apnea, AIDS, and pulmonary embolic disease.
The winner in the Multi-Specialty Publication category is Joe Dennehy of Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine (CCJM). CCJM is a peer-reviewed monthly medical journal. The print edition is distributed throughout the United States to internists, cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, and diabetologists. The online version is available free, with full access to all articles.
The honorees were recognized during this year’s program featuring keynote speaker Ron Pantello, former CEO of Euro RSCG Life Worldwide. Pantello is the industry legend who founded the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame and co-founded Lally, McFarland and Pantello (LM&P), which eventually became part of the Euro RSCG global network.
