Force 3 announces the installation of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) demonstration equipment within its state-of-the-art Customer Innovation Center to help accelerate customers’ adoption of virtualization technology.

UCS is a purpose-built platform for virtualization and Force 3’s Data Center practice is built on virtualization, making us a perfect partner for Cisco.

Force 3, delivering the best in federal security, unified communications and data center solutions, today announced the installation of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) demonstration equipment within its state-of-the-art Customer Innovation Center to help accelerate customers’ adoption of virtualization technology. UCS unites computing, network, storage, access and virtualization resources on a single platform, and simplifies the delivery of new services and applications through end-to-end provisioning.

The UCS model simplifies the overall data center architecture by combining a “wire once” unified fabric with an industry-standard computing platform to optimize virtualization, reduce data center total overall cost and provide dynamic resource provisioning to increase business agility.

“UCS is a purpose-built platform for virtualization and Force 3’s Data Center practice is built on virtualization, making us a perfect partner for Cisco,” said Sudhir Verma, Director of Data Center Solutions for Force 3. “Our experts will show you how and why to implement UCS to optimize virtualization efforts, not just demonstrate the equipment.”

Force 3 is a certified Cisco UCS ATP Partner and is fully versed in designing target architecture using a 10G platform with UCS.

“By demoing UCS in our Customer Innovation Center, customers can see how the equipment will function in a fully integrated environment,” said Verma. “We work with customers to determine where the product will add value and show them how their total cost of operations can be reduced by 15 to 30-percent just by implementing the UCS solution.”

On April 6, 2010, Force 3 will present an interactive, technical session to learn how to take advantage of the UCS architecture with VMware. For more information on the session, please visit http://www.force3events.com/unifiedcomputing/.
