TORONTO, ON (PRWEB) March 18, 2010
Ignite, Canada’s leading meeting planning magazine, is seeking feedback from event and corporate planners on what they love about their careers—and what they don’t—in the magazine’s “Love Your Job?” poll.
Through March 30, 2010, corporate planners and meeting planners – those responsible for event planning, corporate travel management, incentive programs, or corporate gift ideas - are encouraged to submit their feedback and ideas on why they love their jobs and what keeps them coming back day after day. Conversely, Ignite is also seeking the not-so-pretty side of meeting event planning with examples of the headaches and hurdles that planners face.
Meeting planning professionals who participate in the “Love Your Job?” poll qualify to be selected for a two-night Fairmont Gold experience, an evening at EPIC Restaurant’s exclusive Winemaker’s Dinner at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto and a career-boosting profile in Ignite Magazine. Visit http://ignitemag.ca for details and submissions.
“Ignite takes a fresh approach to the meetings and incentives industry, and we want real-world information – the good and the bad – straight from the mouths of meeting and corporate planners,” says Ignite’s Co-Publisher Debbie van der Beek. “It’s also an opportunity to showcase the scope and value of this career. Events don’t just happen – it is the dedication and tireless efforts behind the scenes that get people places and make things happen within organizations.”
Canadian meetings represent a $32.2 billion industry providing 235,500 jobs, many of which include meeting event planning, corporate planning, or corporate travel management. Many companies continue to rely on meetings and incentives planners for corporate gift ideas and rewards programs to ensure their organizations retain the leading professionals in their industry vertical.
