Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) March 20, 2010
Fast-casual “better burger” restaurant Smashburger lovers throughout the Tarrant county area can give back to the community by purchasing a Spicy Baja Smashburger Saturday, March 20 through Friday, March 26, 2010 at Smashburger Arlington on 5005 S. Cooper St. One dollar from each Spicy Baja Smashburger sold will be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
The Spicy Baja Smashburger starts with a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Certified Angus Beef that is first smashed, seared and seasoned on the grill, served with pepper jack cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo, and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun.
Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in all the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.
Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs, and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with Häagen-Dazs shakes, and root-beer floats.
“We are excited to partner with Tarrant Area Food Bank,” says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. “Smashburger supports the Food Bank in its mission to ease hunger in 13 Tarrant-area counties.”
“The local community has really welcomed us here in Arlington,” says Chris Fleming, partner of Cow Town Sizzle. “We can’t think of a better way to say ‘thank you’ then by giving something back to them.”
