In response to student requests, slow-motion lessons have been added to the Andreas Oberg Guitar Universe curriculum.

Our slow-motion enhancement allows students to see and study Andreas's lightning-speed playing for the first time. This provides AGU students a more immersive and effective online learning experience.

ArtistWorks, Inc. (AWI) Today the Andreas Oberg Guitar Universe explodes with slow motion!

In response to enrolled online student requests, ArtistWorks has augmented the entire AGU curriculum with half-speed versions of Andreas’ lessons in order to slow down the fastest guitar runs. As any student of the guitar knows, a new lesson has to be taught slowly – flying fingers may indicate the successful learning of the lesson, but it can take a while to get there. The slow motion versions of the lessons are “pitch corrected” so that students can easily play along with them while learning.

“One of the things that makes Andreas’ playing so exciting is the speed and dexterity in his technique,” notes David Butler, CEO at ArtistWorks, “Our slow-motion enhancement allows students to see and study Andreas’s lighting-speed playing for the first time. This provides AGU students a more immersive and effective online learning experience.”

When students log on to their lessons, they now see a “Slow-Motion” icon beside the original lesson icon. All fast passages in the core lesson are isolated and presented as separate slow-motion videos.

Student response to the slow-mo lessons has been positive, student DaveR says, “New slo mo is awesome! It has helped me get the hang of those difficult transitions,” and GrantGreen teases, “Slow motion only slows Andreas down, but doesn’t speed you up! Ha!” The addition of slow-motion versions of the lessons is the most recent example of ArtistWorks commitment to maximizing the students’ learning experience on its instructional websites.

About Artistworks
The ArtistWorks online visual education format allows virtuoso musicians to “Teach the World” by presenting their full method, technique or curriculum in HD video to subscribing students of their sites. Simple webcams are used by the students to submit videos to the Artist through the site, for critique and guidance if they want personalized instruction. The Artists manage the video flow by using the Video Management System created and owned by ArtistWorks, Inc. (patent pending). Regardless of whether or not students participate in exchanging videos with the Artist, these “Video Exchanges” are posted for all subscribing students to learn from. This groundbreaking use of video exchange for the instruction of musical instruments has been implemented at Jimmy Bruno Guitar Institute, the Qbert Skratch University, Andreas Oberg Guitar Universe, Peery Piano Online, Tony Trischka School of Banjo and Howard Levy Harmonica School.
