ArmyStudyGuide.com - providing free U.S. Army Board Study Guide Resources since 1999 - has, today, launched the ArmyStudyGuide Military Blogger Contest: an opportunity for any military member or their immediate family to win up to $1,000 for their personal story about a military benefit program.

Military service personnel and their families receive a variety of benefits as a result of the personal sacrifices they make. ArmyStudyGuide.com wants to hear about the ways in which active military, veterans and families have taken advantage of military programs such as the GI Bill, MyCAA, Tuition Assistance, college scholarships, home loans or any other benefits program.

“We want to hear inspiring, helpful, informative or funny stories and anecdotes about the benefit programs available to military members and their families,” said ArmyStudyGuide.com editor Seth Restaino. “Many of these programs are essential to military families; we want to help our readers navigate the sometimes frustrating processes and provide entertaining anecdotes.”

The contest is open to active Military (including National Guard and Reserves), Veterans, and Military Family (spouses, parents and children) with a story to tell. Entries can be a previous blog post or a new post created specifically for the contest. Contestants do not need to be bloggers and entries do not have to be published on a blog to enter. Contestants can review the official rules and submit their entries through April 18, 2010 by visiting the Military Blogger Contest Announcement.

A judging panel selected by ArmyStudyGuide.com will announce up to three finalists in each of the three categories on April 26, 2010. Finalists will then compete in a run-off until May 11, 2010 with the winner from each category and one grand prize winner being announced on the site on May 17, 2010.

Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges who will consider content, relevance to the topic, visitor ratings, and traffic generated by each entry. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 and each category winner will receive $250. Additionally, winning entries will be featured on the ArmyStudyGuide.com Education Benefits blog, and their authors may be considered for paid blogger positions on ArmyStudyGuide.com, GruntsMilitary.com, ArmyDomain.com, or another military Web site.

ArmyStudyGuide.com has provided free U.S. Army Board Study Guide Resources to help military personnel prepare for the various U.S. Army Boards since 1999.
