12 city tour of North America kicks off with Inauguration of a new Center in Los Angeles; Denver and Boulder visits will feature meditation and Sri Sri’s wisdom; in furtherance of creating a Violence-Free, Stress-Free America

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (, the internationally renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian, is bringing his timely message of peace and empowerment to Denver and Boulder on April 20-21, during a 12 city spring tour of the United States and Canada hosted by the Art of Living Foundation.

Recently named one of the five most powerful people in India by Forbes Magazine, Sri Sri has inspired a global phenomenon of compassion and service through his campaign to create “a violence-free, stress-free world”. His non-profit organizations provide aid and relief in many of the world’s most difficult regions, including quake-stricken Haiti.

His initiatives in self-development, conflict resolution, disaster relief, business and social responsibility, prisoner rehabilitation programs, youth leadership, women’s empowerment and education have impacted the lives of more than 25 million people worldwide. In Colorado, Sri Sri’s self development programs have benefited over 2,000 people in the last 5 years.

This unique and memorable event, entitled World Peace through Inner Peace: an Evening of Wisdom & Meditation, will begin at 7:00 pm on April 20 in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and at 7:00 pm on April 21 at the Nalanda Event Center at Naropa in Boulder.

Having spoken to audiences reaching into the millions around the world, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has earned universal praise and renown for making life’s profound truths accessible to people of all backgrounds with inimitable wit, wisdom and simplicity of language.

In Los Angeles on April 14, the first stop on his tour, Sri Sri will rededicate and inaugurate the new Art of Living-Los Angeles Center, located in a historic century-old former church and architectural treasure. Sri Sri’s visit to Los Angeles will also include a public forum about corporate social responsibility, Business, Ethics and Spirituality, held in partnership with several entities at the University of Southern California, and featuring a panel of speakers, including entrepreneurs John Paul DeJoria and Rob Dyrdrek.

Through the years, Sri Sri has conferred with many of the world’s major political, religious and business leaders, sharing the universality of the goals and values of the great spiritual traditions.
