LearnMikroTik.com Announces April RouterOS Training Classes

Three advanced classes on RouterOS including the MTCRE - MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer, MTCWE - MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer and MTCTCE - MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer will all be held in Dallas, Texas April 19-23, 2010 at the DFW Airport LaQuinta.

Steve Discher, a MikroTik (http://www.mikrotik.com) Certified Consultant and Training Partner announced today that the April RouterOS Training Class is filling quickly. Three advanced classes on RouterOS including the MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer, MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer and MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer will all be held in Dallas, Texas April 19-23, 2010 at the DFW Airport LaQuinta.

These "hands on" classes will feature a mix of lecture and lab, thereby allowing the student to apply the knowledge gained in the class in a practical environment. In addition to the training based on the MikroTik certified classroom curriculum, students will be given an opportunity to take the certification exam for each of the classes offered to earn the appropriate certification. All MikroTik certifications are valid for three years.

All classes are taught using the MikroTik curriculum. In addition, the student is prepared for the certification exam by using sample exam questions and practice tests in a review format to ensure they are ready to pass the certification exam.

MTCWE - MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer
This class is a continuation of the introduction offered in the MTCNA class with a focus on covering all of the software features as well as best practices.
Topics include:

  • Wireless installation
  • Software features
  • Wireless mesh, WDS
  • Wireless security
  • Bridging, STP/RSTP, firewall

MTCRE - MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer
This class is a continuation of the introduction offered in the MTCNA class with a focus on covering all of the software features as well as best practices. Topics include:

  • Static IP routing
  • Tunnels (IPIP, EoIP, VLAN)
  • Policy routing
  • Route filters
  • OSPF

MTCTCE - MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer
This class is a continuation of the introduction offered in the MTCNA class with a focus on covering all of the software features as well as best practices. Topics include:

  • DHCP
  • Proxy
  • Firewall extended features
  • QoS (simple queues and queue tree, bursts, queue algorithms)
