The RPT-9000 XPANDAcell Provides the Most Cost Effective Means to Deliver Wireless Service to Smaller Markets, or Hard-to-Reach Areas

There is no product available like the RPT-9000 on the market today

Pulse Inc., a worldwide value added distributor of WAN, VoIP and wireless solutions, today announced that it will be demonstrating its RPT-9000 cellular repeater technology at the International CTIA Wireless 2010 event, taking place March 23-25, in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The RPT-9000 extends the reach of cellular towers up to 95km (60 miles) without having to install a new switch. It enables cellular providers to bring service to smaller markets, or hard-to-reach areas in a cost effective manner. It also provides carriers with an affordable means to minimize dropped calls across their existing service areas, without having to install additional cell towers.

Pulse has partnered with Canadian manufacturer Telcosat, Inc., to provide RPT-9000 units to wireless carriers, enterprise companies, and government organizations/municipalities in the United States.

The RPT-9000 repeats and extends service from towers that are up to 60 miles away and the technology is transparent to the type of service or information carried, delivering CDMA, GSM or AMPs, to enable the transmission of voice, data or video to mobile phones.

“There is no product available like the RPT-9000 on the market today,” said Pulse’s Vice President, Michael Banschbach. “It allows wireless carriers to extend cellular service in rural, remote, or underground areas, by simply pointing the RPT-9000 at an operational base station that can be up to 60 miles away. It provides coverage at remote locations that have no cellular service, and by eliminating the need for a traditional base station build-out, the RPT-9000 can help carriers realize savings of almost 80% when compared to traditional base station and backhaul requirements.”
