High Definition Surveillance: A Clearer Picture.

HDcctv Alliance®, the global security industry consortium established to manage technical standards for HDcctv equipment interoperability, is rapidly growing their security industry presence with membership doubling this year, expanding their already significant international presence. The membership represents a broad spectrum of the video surveillance industry, from component, OEM and branded equipment manufacturers to security sales, support and system installers.

HDcctv-based systems transmit HDTV signals digitally over conventional CCTV media without packetization and without any perceivable compression latency. Standards are a key to unlocking the market potential of this new product category. The HDcctv Alliance has partnered with SMPTE to reference the family of broadcast video interfaces known as HD-SDI to create a derivative standard to enable plug-and-play security systems and equipment that deliver high-resolution, high-definition (HD) surveillance video with no transmission delays, no image artifacts from transmission, with the highest possible signal integrity.

At ISC West, Las Vegas, March 24-26, fifteen HDcctv Alliance members are demonstrating interoperable HDcctv cameras, DVRs, and monitors planned for market shortly after the Alliance’s compliance certification standards have been finalized.

At the HDcctv Alliance Booth 42001 attendees can view demonstrations of Interoperable HDcctv Alliance Members’ products including:

  •     Zero Latency PTZ Cameras
  •     Impressive Version 2.0* Long Reach Cable Transmission Capability
  •     DVRs' enabled with Port Level Plug-and-Play
  •     1080p 30 Camera Reference Design
  •     WDR 1080p 30 Sensor Capability with Evaluation Camera
  •     Hi Fidelity Cable Termination Technology

At the HDcctv Alliance booth attendees can learn about the recently ratified HDcctv Specification v1.0 and the impending v1.1, which enable equipment interoperability. Visitors can also see technologies on the HDcctv Specification roadmap, including upwardly compatible features currently under development.

Visiting HDcctv Alliance members’ booths at ISC West and completing a raffle card can qualify attendees to win one of eleven prizes including an HDcctv camera grand prize, two iPads, three valuable art pieces, and five blueCaps coax terminator kits.
