GetThatWholesale.com, an online b2b directory of wholesale suppliers, importers, and manufacturers, has announced the launch of a new addition to its growing network of web sites. The new venture, BuyThatWholesale.com, is, like GetThatWholesale, a searchable, human edited, directory of over 4000 suppliers and distributors but with a number of significant differences.
"While we have worked hard to build into BuyThatWholesale all the things we learned bringing GetThatWholesale to the public over the last three years. While adding new features we believe will add tremendous utility for our visitors and value for our advertisers. Trial and error taught us a lot and our new platform grew in the light of this hard earned knowledge,” said company CEO and founder, Robert Light.
"Most importantly we will have the same high caliber of listing that is a hallmark of GetThatWholesale. While a wholesaler can submit a listing for free, our quality control people check every one to make sure our directory contains only genuine wholesale suppliers and live sites. BTW will also preserve the wholesale niches and categories our visitors have found so useful on our existing site."
“BuyThatWholesale will have the same opportunities for suppliers to place themselves in category leading premium positions and sponsorships.” Light went on to say, "But make no mistake about it, BuyThatWholesale has many new features that will make the site stand out in exciting ways and provide real value to our users."
The new site includes the addition of new sub categories to the 60+ categories found on GetThatWholesale.com to help users refine their searching and find the products they are most interested in more quickly. For example, a user will not just find a jewelry category but instead a jewelry section divided into Diamonds, Sterling Silver, and Costume Jewelry. Along with the traditional Sporting Goods category there are subcategories for Exercise, Hunting and Outdoors, Golf, etc.
"We have also added a shopping cart icon to many listings that when clicked will take the visitor directly to a supplier's product pages or shopping cart system. This will allow buyers to find and purchase product more quickly." Mr. Light explained. “We believe this will save our users time and money while providing a boost to our listed suppliers as well by opening another doorway for response.”
BuyThatWholesale is apparently only the beginning. Light also hinted at the launch of yet another site quite different from either the new site or GetThatWholesale. While somewhat secretive about the details the next addition to the network will be a site more oriented towards wholesale industry news and knowledge resources for small retailers. No release date was announced but Light implied it would be soon.
