Joseph William Hahs, found online at http://www.josephhahs.com/, recently donated $1,000 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, also known as MADD, and is interested in trying to get others to donate their time, and some of their funds, to this charity.
MADD was organized and started in 1980 by Candice Lightner, whose daughter had was killed by a drunken hit-and-run driver in California. Since its inception, MADD has focused on educating the public about the dangers of drunk driving, and has been helping the victims of drunk drivers, including family members, as well.
The organization is currently sponsoring walks throughout the country, at different times in different areas. The purpose of the walks are to raise money for the organization. Joseph William Hahs is showing his support for the walk, and for the organization itself, by donating $1,000 of his funds in order to support the organization.
“MADD is a very worthy organization that has proved, throughout the years, that it is an organization that can truly make a difference in the world. But that doesn’t mean that they have all of the funds that they need, which is why it is up to people who believe in them to give them the funds that they need,” said Mr. Hahs.
The organization is mainly funded through donations from the average person, like Mr. Hahs. It is important to note that people do not have to do the walk or run in order to donate, but can go directly to the organizations website to make a donation.
Mr. Hahs stated that he hoped that other people would take a cue from the many donations that the organization has received over the years and that they will donate what funds they have available to the organization that is near and dear to their heart as well.
