The number of Americans who believe President Obama is purposely driving the U.S. economy into the ground for the express purpose of having the government take over more control of our lives continues to grow, according to the latest
research conducted by the BeemerReport.com.
"Rush Limbaugh now has more people agreeing with him than those who voted for Barack Obama in 2008," said C. Britt Beemer, author of the BeemerReport.com and CEO of America's Research Group (ARG).
A year ago after the stimulus package passed, only 12.1% of Americans feared President Obama was trying to ruin the U.S. economy.
Today, 35.8% believe that President Obama has a plan to damage the U.S. economy so he can implement more government control.
In less than a year, and before Sunday's vote to pass health care reform, the numbers of American's who fear President Obama's motives has tripled.
"Never in thirty-one years have I seen so many people question the integrity and motives of a U.S. President," said Beemer.
The research consisted of 1,000 telephone interviews conducted Friday, Saturday, Sunday, March 12, 13 and 14, at ARG headquarters in Charleston, SC. The error factor is plus or minus 3.8%.
