Jerry Brown has aggressively introduced and supported greentech policy in California for many years, and will be a leading candidate for the greentech community

The GigaOM Network, a leading business media company, today announced two prominent speakers for Green:Net 2010. Jerry Brown, California Attorney General and 2010 gubernatorial candidate, and the world’s most recognized cleantech investor Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, will address the audience at Green:Net 2010 – the only industry conference that examines how the tools created for the Internet, computing, and IT industries will be crucial for fighting climate change.

“Jerry Brown has aggressively introduced and supported greentech policy in California for many years, and will be a leading candidate for the greentech community,” said Katie Fehrenbacher, conference Chair of Green:Net 2010. “Vinod Khosla is a visionary who dominates the discussion and dollars in greentech. We’re thrilled to welcome both of these illustrious speakers to Green:Net 2010.”

Produced by the GigaOM cleantech blog Earth2Tech, the second-annual Green:Net 2010 will take place April 29th in San Francisco. Based on the popularity of the first sold-out Green:Net conference, those who would like to attend the conference should register as soon as possible to ensure their space.

At Green:Net 2010, speakers from the fields of technology, venture capital, cleantech, media, and public policy will discuss how the industry can work together to best develop Green IT tools that can positively impact the course of environmental change. GreenNet is an interactive, open forum where attendees debate the issues that matter most to them – coming up with creative solutions to real-world challenges.
Some of the thought-provoking sessions at Green:Net 2010 will include:

  • So the Smart Grid Will Be Huge, Now What?
  • The New Networked Car
