Fans of futuristic and sci-fi novels are in for an exhilarating ride as author Rolland Williams releases through Xlibris an engaging book set in the year 2333. Adventure, mystery, drama, and action collide in the pages of Rogue Progeny.
The most powerful of Earth’s Outer Rim Colonies, Rigel Proxima, has grown both prosperous and dependent on the Android Trade. The Interstellar sale of the cybernetic android, a complex robot made in Man’s Image, is the basis of her power—and potentially her Achilles heel. When Jared 9 Sybarite, a high-priced companion android, suddenly goes off-code, rejecting its operating commands to seek its own path the entire Cyberenetic Industries is threatened. Instantly, the manufacturer of the android, the CyRand Corporation, tasks private investigator Daedalus Jones to find him. Jones later learns that Jared 9 carries an alien virus, one that breaks down analytic operating codes and turns its cybernetic hosts into rogue androids capable of feeling and independent thought. With apparent pressure placed on him, he knows that he must find the Jared 9 before he spreads the dangerous contagion of independent thought to the rest of his Kind.
What started as a seemingly innocent dinner invitation from a beautiful woman named Arsinoe Lane turns into a web of intricacy as Jones unwittingly submits himself to more mystery. Rogue Progeny follows Jones as he faces bloodthirsty Salvager gangs dealing in pirated android parts, fights an interstellar war, battles a cabal of scheming Rigellian aristocrats and retches his guts out while trapped in an interstellar anomaly called the transdimension. This gripping saga will leave readers in breathless anticipation of shocking revelations and heart-stopping explosions at every turn of the page.
