Bennett Building Systems (BBS), a Tennille, Ga.-based portable building manufacturer, recently donated a custom-built storage unit to ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition during a seven-day blitz-build in Pine Mountain, Ga.
The company, a subsidiary of Bennett International Group, delivered the 12’X24’ storage building to the Williams family during the show’s taping in February. The episode will be featured in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s season finale, which will air in May.
“We were facing a tight turnaround between building the unit and delivering it to the family, but we were committed to giving back to a community that has shown us so much support during our start up,” said Doug Eudy, BBS Vice President, Manufacturing and Operations.
Lead home builder Nationwide Custom Homes, and its parent company Palm Harbor Homes provided the family of four with a custom 4,155-square-foot modular home. The recently taped edition is the first time the popular television program has featured a home built with modular construction during its intense one-week build time.
Bennett’s mobile home transport division Bennett Truck Transport delivered the Palm Harbor Home seven modular units to the home site, where community volunteers and crewmembers waited to assemble the family’s new home.
