Timothy J. Burke of Omaha Public Power District has been confirmed as the new chair of Midwest ENERGY Association’s (MEA) Board of Directors. Stephen L. Pella of Black Hills Energy is the new first vice chair. Dennis M. Klumb, Jr of KS Energy Services joins the executive committee as treasurer. MEA thanks Anthony R. McCain of Nicor Gas for his past service as chair and welcome him to the position of past chair.

For 105 years our association has served the energy distribution industry, by creating unique programs, such as Energetic Women, and products, EnergyU and ElectricU, which help the membership deliver electricity and natural gas to American homes and business, efficiently, safely, and less expensively,” says Timothy J. Burke. “My role as Chair is to ensure a new clear and focused vision for MEA as it matures from a Midwest association to a national association, a vision which will include the continued commitment, participation and focus of the Board and members as we prepare the association for the changes our industry will undergo in the future. Our efforts will be to retain the core services that make MEA a successful association, while challenging the members to bring innovation and efficiency to our energy distribution systems”
