Vineyard Wine Cellars designs and builds custom wine features for residential and commercial spaces throughout Texas. They have a long relationship with Stellar Cellars, a custom rack supplier who offers a variety of eco-friendly and sustainable hardwoods.
These eco-friendly woods from around the world include redwood, Brazilian Cherry, walnut, soule and sapale.
"The wine racks from Stellar Cellars allow us to provide our clients with an individualized wine room that is both gorgeous and environmentally friendly,” said Gary Daniels, President of Vineyard Wine Cellars of Texas. “Our green efforts continue from the wood down the finish. The finish is biodegradable, non-ozone depleting, non-toxic and hand crafted from a variety of oils and other natural ingredients."
Stellar Cellars uses Chain of Custody (CoC) certified suppliers, meaning all products are verified to come from properly managed and sustainable sources. To become CoC certified, companies must meet the minimum requirements in product traceability, product storage and handling and have an on-site audit by an accredited third-party verifier.
Jost Lunstroth, of Vineyard Wine Cellars in Houston, said, "Our clients have always appreciated the outstanding quality of our products along with our knowledge of wine storage. Since all of our clients are building homes that are energy sensitive, using sustainable products whenever possible, they really appreciate our ability to provide them with an environmentally friendly wine room."
