The Net Impact Creates Website for St. Louis Event to Combat the Stigma of Mental Illness

The Net Impact Teams with the Karla Smith Foundation, Bring Change2Mind and Glenn Close to Create Online Strategy to Promote National Mental Health Awareness Campaign

The Karla Smith Foundation, a St. Louis area based non-profit organization that provides support to families and friends with a loved one suffering from mental illness and those who have lost a loved one to suicide, proudly welcomes partner organization, BringChange2Mind and Glenn Close, to St. Louis for an unprecedented mental health awareness and anti-stigma event, "Change a Mind, Change a Life”, on April 16th and 17th. To help build awareness around the campaign, The Net Impact, a St. Louis based, full-service online interactive agency, worked closely with the Karla Smith Foundation to create the website, http://www.changeamind.org, for the highly anticipated event.

The Net Impact designed the “Change a Mind, Change a Life” website in the web content management system, Auctori. Placing the web design in the Auctori solution, makes it easy for the Karla Smith Foundation to make immediate changes to their website content. The Net Impact also designed logo for the event and created a social media marketing strategy for the event, which includes a strong presence on Twitter and Facebook. The Net Impact currently hosts and maintains the Karla Smith Foundation’s website, http://www.karlasmithfoundation.org, in addition to providing search engine optimization services for the non-profit.

The “Change a Mind, Change a Life” weekend in St. Louis this April will include a fundraising dinner on Friday, April 16 at the Four Seasons Hotel, where guests will have the opportunity to meet with award winning actress Glenn Close and hear her inspiring story of making a difference in the lives of the thousands facing mental illness. Close will also attend the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on Saturday, April 17, where she will sing “America the Beautiful” and throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The National Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring Close and her sister and directed by Ron Howard, will also be aired at Busch Stadium.
