MyBuilding.org, the leading provider of resident portal and property management software services, has been selected by Seward Park Cooperative (SPC) to provide a customized online service for its 1,728 shareholder units.

Through http://www.My.SewardParkCoop.com, MyBuilding.org is providing SPC residents and staff with a content-rich private web service to view community and neighborhood information and features related to SPC. Both residents and property management have access to the private portal that is fully customized with the look and feel of the property and extends the property’s brand online. Residents have access to a rich list of neighborhood and online discounts obtained by MyBuilding.org and through SPC’s partnership with Lower East Side Business Improvement District. Communication flows fluently between management and residents, content is always fresh and up-to-date, and use of paper is dramatically reduced. MyBuilding.org has customized the service to fit SPC’s legacy IT system, including the incorporation of historical maintenance data, residents’ info, electricity metering and more.

“We are very excited to work with Seward Park Co-op’s Board and Charles H. Greenthal, the managing agent. The team eagerly embraces the capabilities and potential of internet-based software for managing the property more efficiently as well as proving residents with a great new amenity. The integration effort with SPC’s legacy systems enables management to maintain continuity with the enormous existing database of residents data.”, said Guy Blachman, Chief Executive Officer of MyBuilding.org.

"As Seward Park Cooperative turns 50 years old in 2010, the Board is absolutely committed to making our co-op as green and efficient as possible. Thus, we adopted several critical initiatives focused on energy, recycling and waste management, transportation, and technology. In each case, we have one or more "green" partners who are helping us achieve our goals in these areas. Our technology partner is MyBuilding.org, which has transformed the way that the Board, Management, and our residents communicate and share information, and improved the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Through the implementation of this technology, we are projected to save 72,000 pieces of paper in 2010. This is equivalent to 8.5 trees a year.

"SPC views the MyBuilding.org service as a key component of our vision for an efficient, paperless environment that connects residents with the property and the surrounding community. We’ve selected MyBuilding.org because of their clear focus on residents’ benefits, the richness of the system, as well as their flexibility and willingness to provide significant integration and customization work for SPC,“ says Seward Park Co-op President Michael Tumminia.
