Point101 - the large format printing company, has announced the launch of an upload system that is quickly anticipated to transform what photographers come to expect from online printers. The flash based interface lets you position, crop and accurately preview your images in a virtual living room and provides its users with a number of free online tools such as quality score, estimated viewing distance and colour matching.
The web based company has grown rapidly in the last 3 years and dispatches thousands of canvas prints each year and has recently launched a print and frame system that they have called Switchframes. The business hopes to attract more professional photographers with its competitive pricing and is keen to add new features and products to its website each month.
The website currently lets users store previously uploaded photos and re-order them to send direct to clients but still gives photographers the flexibility to change the format and add extras to their print.
"The response has been fantastic. We've worked really hard to create an intuitive e-commerce experience from start to finish and we know what professional photographers want in an online application. One thing that users really like is the ability to change a photo from a regular digital ratio to a panoramic shot and see accurately what the final result is going to be before we print it and if they really want to impress their client they can add our free mirror wrap option", said Kerry Keays, a director at Point101.
Point101 lets you upload your photos for free and gives detailed information on all their products on their website http://www.point101.com.
