Trivani International (http://www.trivani.com) the world’s first purpose-marketing company, has rescued a Ugandan orphan from a life of hardship and terror at the hands of a local militia. The young girl, Mary, watched her father’s execution and her mother’s death of AIDS before the Trivani Foundation® stepped in, sponsored her, and sent her to Asayo’s Wish Orphanage where she now lives with other family members.
“For Mary, daily life in her Ugandan village was both heart-breaking and terrifying,” says Dee Mower, President of Trivani International. “After removing her from that situation and finding her loving caregivers at Asayo’s Wish, Mary is happy, healthy and no longer worries about dying at the hands of the local militia. Mary’s story makes our cause both worthwhile and rewarding.”
The rescue of Mary is one of the many successes of Trivani’s patented child sponsorship program. Without giving a single donation, every Trivani distributor can sponsor a child in need from one of the countries in which Trivani Foundation operates. This program has provided food, clothing, shelter, clean water and an educational opportunity for literally thousands of children in countries like Nepal, Uganda, Cambodia and Kenya. Trivani Foundation is Trivani International’s charitable arm which carries on projects in third world countries aimed at relieve suffering and poverty. These projects are funded by the sale of Trivani’s eco-friendly, toxin-free health and personal care products.
Asayo’s Wish AOrphanage was founded by Sarah Asayo, a refugee from Uganda who found a safe haven in England and created a new life for herself and her family in America. The orphanage is a haven for Ugandan children facing death at the hands of militia members, starvation and disease. “I was once in the same position that the children in my orphanage are in,” Sarah said. “Asayo’s Wish Foundation was formed to grant a child’s wish—a wish to survive, to have hope, to be loved and valued, to have a place to call home, to have a reason to look forward to tomorrow.”
“My father was exiled during Idi Amin’s rule and was told never to return to Uganda. My family was removed from our home because we could not prove ownership. After sleeping on floors and essentially starving, I feel so blessed that I can rescue Ugandan children facing a similar fate.”
In 2010, President Dee Mower and the Trivani team expect to not only develop the Foundation’s (http://www.trivani.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=115&Itemid=93) efforts in Asia, but in Canada and other locales well beyond Uganda.
