Today ARMA Vancouver (The Association of Records Managers and Administrators), a non-profit organization promoting education in information and records management, announced the gala celebration of its 40th Anniversary.
The event will take place on April 23, 2010 at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver at 845 Burrard Street. It starts at 6 pm and finishes around 11 pm and includes a gourmet dinner, cocktail reception, entertainment, presentations, and recognitions for past service of nominated RIM & IT professionals.
Officially chartered by ARMA International in 1970, the ARMA Vancouver Chapter has become a prominent force in the records and information technology scene of BC connecting IT professionals, records managers, consultants, vendors and students in the field.

The celebration is also open to non members.
Vendors interested in attending or sponsoring the event by way of corporate sponsorship, door prizes or other contributions, should contact Sandie Bradley at harwoodinfo(at)telus(dot)net.
“This event will be a great opportunity to raise funds for the ARMA International Educational Foundation, which advances the profession and enhances the knowledge and competency of ARMA professional through its funding of research, publications, and educational programs.”, said Sandie Bradley, educational fund coordinator. “Last year we helped 4 students at UBC in their information and records
management training” she adds.
