Appalachian Bible College (ABC), an accredited Bible college located in West Virginia, has restructured their baccalaureate degree program to let students earn two majors simultaneously. This change will be in effect for students entering the college in fall of 2010.
As an independent baptist Bible college, ABC has spent over 60 years training servants for effectiveness in local church ministry. By changing their undergraduate program, all students will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Bible & Theology and then choose a second Ministry Major. The secondary majors available to students include Pastoral Ministries, Missions, Music, Elementary Education, Camping Ministries, Interdisciplinary Ministries, and Youth and Family ministries.
“We believe this change will practically equip our students for leadership positions in church ministries,” said Dr. Bethel, Vice President for Academics. “The Bible & Theology degree gives the students a solid foundation in the Bible plus the education needed to follow his or her specific passion to serve the Lord.”
Appalachian Bible College has earned a reputation for providing an excellent education at an affordable price. This enhanced curriculum design shows the innovative approach this Bible college takes towards educating their students.
ABC is an accredited Bible college through the Association for Biblical Higher Education (http://www.abhe.org) and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (http://www.ncahlc.org). ABC’s Elementary Education Major has Approved Program Status with the West Virginia Department of Education for Elementary Education (K-6) Certification.
