Miami, Fla. (PRWEB) March 31, 2010
Optical Crime Prevention, Inc. (OCP) today announced its participation in the ng Connect Program, the multi-industry initiative which is driving the development of next generation broadband services based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and other ultra high bandwidth technologies.
OCP will collaborate with ng Connect Program member Alcatel-Lucent to combine the company’s video encoder expertise with Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE technology to develop advanced video security solution concepts which can leverage ultra-high bandwidth networks.
“We are excited to join this ecosystem for emerging ultra-high bandwidth applications. OCP has built the foundation for the first carrier class, massively scalable video security technology in order to bring Video Security as a Service to the mass markets. As an ng Connect member, we will now be able to evolve from traditional broadband and 3G wireless network infrastructures to the ultra high bandwidth world of 4G/LTE wireless thanks to the collaborative opportunities this program offers. Our participation in ng Connect solution concepts will drive enormous market opportunity for our application services as well as enable new abilities to incorporate intelligence into the network infrastructure far beyond what we imagined in the world of 3G,” stated John DuBois, CEO, Optical Crime Prevention, Inc.
“Given their ability to support video, audio and data at high speeds, LTE/4G networks will prove to be a tremendous platform for enhanced security services as they become commercially available,” stated Derek Kuhn, Vice President, Emerging Technology and Media, Alcatel-Lucent and ng Connect Program founding member. “We welcome OCP to the ng Connect Program and look forward to working with them on next generation video security concepts.”
Optical Crime Prevention, Inc. (OCP) has developed proprietary hardware and software systems to enable Video Security as a Service (VSaaS) for the mass markets. OCP uses a wholesale model for selling Video Security Service to end customers. Companies that sell broadband Internet services, both wireline and wireless are ideally suited to sell OCP’s service.
