I am so enthusiastic about the promise of brain fitness and the difference it can make in the quality of people’s lives.

CogniFit™, Inc., a leading maker of Brain Fitness Software (http://www.cognifit.com), announces that Adriane Berg, a veteran in the field of longevity, author and speaker, is now an official spokesperson for CogniFit. Berg, who is a recognized expert in the Boomer, caregiver and senior markets, will represent CogniFit to further advance the importance of brain fitness to maintain and improve longevity.

Berg is the author of several books, including How Not To Go Broke at 102. She is a national keynoter to travel, financial, home and facilities building, healthcare, government and nonprofit groups. She is also the CEO of Generation Bold, a business development consultancy that offers deep insights to the Boomers, older adults and caregiver markets.

In October 2009, CogniFit and Berg teamed up to develop a brain fitness program for the Mental Health Association of Rockland County with funding from the New York State Office for the Aging. Berg and Dr. Karen Oates designed the brain fitness program called “Strong Brain, Fit Brain, Smart Brain,” based on CogniFit Personal Coach brain fitness software, for seniors in the Rockland County region to strengthen their cognitive health. Through this study, 500 residents from Rockland County will participate in an 18-month brain training program. At the conclusion, the Mental Health Association will publish a manual called “Celebrating the Aging Brain.”

As a spokesperson for CogniFit, Berg will represent the company in all marketing activities and will join forces with the company to raise awareness for the benefits of brain training and for CogniFit in particular. Berg says, “Brain fitness is such an essential part of our overall health and it is encouraging to see how people can experience cognitive improvement at any age with the help of specific brain fitness programs. I am so enthusiastic about the promise of brain fitness and the difference it can make in the quality of people’s lives. CogniFit’s unique assessment and personalized training sets the standard for how a successful brain fitness program should be structured.”

Michal Frenkiel, Vice President, Marketing at CogniFit noted, “It’s encouraging to see that more people are aware of the importance of brain fitness; Adriane’s experience and credibility with older adults and caregivers will go a long way help to share this message. We are pleased that Adriane discovered CogniFit, that it was chosen as the provider for the “Strong Brain, Fit Brain, Smart Brain program and that she continues to be an advocate for CogniFit and brain fitness training.”

CogniFit Personal Coach tailors scientifically-validated cognitive training to meet the specific needs of individuals and adjusts the difficulty of the exercises during training to suit them. As a result, people using CogniFit software are challenged to improve their abilities – including Naming, Focused Attention, Visual Spatial Memory, Mental Flexibility and Executive Functions – but not frustrated by the software’s difficulty level. As users’ skills improve, the training also evolves.
