SiriusDecisions Announces Strong Growth, More Analysts and New Office in London

SiriusDecisions announced today that despite a challenging economy, the business-to-business (b-to-b) sales and marketing firm grew its business significantly over the past fiscal year. In addition, the company announced the opening of a new office in the United Kingdom and the naming of two new service directors.

Clearly, SiriusDecisions entered 2010 with some serious New Year’s resolutions -- and momentum. Even during a difficult time when companies are challenged just to avoid major cutbacks in staffing and service, SiriusDecisions has managed to buck the trend. In fact, the leading b-to-b sales and marketing research, data and advisory firm announced today that its sales grew substantially over the past fiscal year.

In addition, SiriusDecisions announces the opening of a new office in London, the naming of two new service directors and the welcoming of a former Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) into its analyst ranks.

Georgie Donahue, formerly vice president of sales, was promoted to regional vice president of SiriusDecisions Europe Limited which will be operational April 1. Relocating to the London office, Ms. Donahue’s leadership role includes responsibility to build and serve the company’s research membership base in the EMEA region.

In terms of international service, SiriusDecisions Europe Limited now joins SiriusDecisions Canada, led by Ally Motz out of Montreal.

MOS, PMM Service Directors Named; Former CMO Added to Research Team

Along with geographic expansion, SiriusDecisions has strengthened its analyst ranks with the recent additions of Jay Gaines and Marisa Kopec as research and service directors, respectively; the company also announced the promotion of Megan Heuer to service director of its Marketing Operations Strategies (MOS) offering.

Prior to joining SiriusDecisions, Mr. Gaines served as CMO at EDR, a b-to-b information company, where he led all marketing, communications, market research and events activities across the company’s six business divisions. Before that, he was vice president of online marketing and privacy at META Group, with global responsibility that included all aspects of online marketing strategy and business development, as well as Web optimization.

Following 12 years with Gartner, most recently as a managing vice president and product marketing leader for the High-Tech and Telecom Programs business unit, Ms. Kopec joined SiriusDecisions earlier this month to lead its Product Marketing and Management (PMM) service. At Gartner, Ms. Kopec was responsible for the launch of new products into the direct sales channel, including sales communication, training and engagement, as well as external product promotion and client communications. Her tenure also included serving as vice president of global corporate marketing, launching a new brand strategy and architecting the development of the company’s first customer-centric data warehouse. In addition, Ms. Kopec instituted Gartner’s first data privacy policies and processes, and held the title of chief privacy officer.

To further strengthen its analyst team, Ms. Heuer was promoted this month to lead MOS – one of the company’s seven advisory services (all are described in detail at http://www.siriusdecisions.com). Ms. Heuer joined SiriusDecisions in 2008 after building a reputation as an experienced b-to-b thought leader skilled in producing collaborative sales and marketing deliverables that drive systematic, predictable growth.
