As part of Geoscape’s ongoing educational initiative to satisfy corporate America’s appetite for actionable knowledge, the Savvy University College of Business will offer a course addressing the Healthcare Reform and its implications for health insurers’ relationships with the Latino market. The course will feature cutting-edge research unveiling insights about Hispanics’ attitudes toward their health insurance policies such as switching behavior, language preferences and much more.
Tapping into the Underserved and Uninsured Healthcare Markets will be conducted live on April 7th, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. ET. and will be presented by Geoscape’s William Somerville, Industry Leader – Insurance & Real Estate along with Gabriel R. Sanchez, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico.
“The Healthcare Reform is one of the greatest milestones of the current political climate in Washington, making it crucial for health insurers to consider how the current legislation will affect their relationships with the Latino market,” says Dr. Sanchez.
The multicultural markets represent a tremendous growth opportunity for Health Insurers, as the U.S. Hispanic population alone has more than doubled in size in the past 15 years. It is critical that providers and insurers identify underserved populations and understand the needs and preferences among different language segments in order to acquire and retain policy holders.
All funds generated from the course will be donated to the Savvy University Scholarship Fund, which benefits university research programs nationwide. To register for this course and for a complete list of Savvy University’s College of Business webinars, please visit http://savvyu.geoscape.com.
