Promoting local businesses and community partnerships for over 100 years the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate its 114th annual dinner and meeting on Thursday, April 8th to honor local businesses and business leaders. Knowing the huge impact local ties with the community can have on a regions economy the Meriden Chamber has made supporting businesses in the area its mission and the annual dinner is a chance to recognize the people and places that enrich the Meriden community.
This year’s event will feature a reception cocktail party, silent auction, catered dinner and an awards ceremony to both announce new officers and directors within the chamber and to honor local businesses in several categories including outstanding private sector leadership, extraordinary commitment to the community and small business leadership. In addition to the traditional awards the Meriden Chamber will also be giving away a sizable donation to Meriden area students in the form of Sanford F. Shorr Education Awards that recognizes classroom excellence and community service.
The Chamber is also proud to award Beat the Street organizer Larry Pelletier with the 18th Annual Community Partnership award, the Four Points Sheraton as the 14th Annual Large Business recipient and Bongiovanni Insurance & Financial, LLC as the recipient for the 9th annual Small Business award.
Being part of the community is what makes the Meriden Chamber so special to the local economy. By leveraging the support, talent and resources of the members, the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce is one of the leading organizations helping to improve the economic vitality and quality of life for everyone. Giving back to the community with their annual awards dinner is just one way the Chamber says thank you to all the people and businesses that make the area a welcome and profitable place to work.
This year’s event will be held at Mountain Ridge in Wallingford, CT. Great seats are still available but interested parties are encouraged to RSVP immediately before the auction and dinner sell out. Helping to facilitate the event will be Chamber President Sean Moore, Vice President Roseanne Ford and Chamber liaison Frank Ridley. Life Tiled LLC will be providing photography services throughout the event and SEO Video Corp., a partner of Chamber member Keyword Performance will be directing and shooting video at the ceremony.
