I truly believe wearing my gowns helped transform my birth experience. I had decided on a non-medicated birth and I wanted so much to wear my own clothes to feel good thru all the pain and recovery. My Hot Mama Gowns helped me achieve that

What's New

The online experience of browsing, selecting, and purchasing your Hot Mama Gown, the “Hot Mama” alternative to the generic hospital gown, just got more fabulous.

This website redesign translates the luxury and beauty of Hot Mama Gowns into the virtual marketplace. The site boasts new photography, new products, and new pricing; making for happy customers and retailers.

The new website comes with new products including corresponding swaddling blankets; creating the perfect gift set for Mom and baby. And speaking of gift sets, we’ve added 3 to fit every desire and budget

The Hot Mama Gowns Story offers their signature gowns, which are personal hospital maternity gowns, made of 100% Organic Cotton and manufactured in the USA; they are designed to fit Mom before, during, and after pregnancy. Sized XS-XXL (XS 2-4, Sm 6-8 etc), the gowns will actually fit Mom during all her transitions, which is in stark contrast to the one-size fits most hospital gowns. The gowns include a full snap-down back to keep Mom’s assets covered while allowing complete access for the doctors and staff. Designed for breastfeeding; the gowns have two ribbon-tied panels which allow for quick and easy access to Mom’s breasts for discreet nursing. The gowns can be expanded or contracted (pun intended!) so they will fit Mom’s belly during pregnancy; then double as nursing pajamas or lounge wear that can be worn at home after delivery.

There are many Hot Mamas across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom who love their gowns and have had special experiences because of their gowns; one Hot Mama from Florida writes, “I was completely comfortable in my gown during my labor and delivery, and I felt more like I was at home in my pjs than in a hospital. I loved the fact that I could open the top half of the gown and spend "skin to skin" time with my new son and still stay covered up. ” Another, from Pennsylvania, gushes “The fabric is fabulous, so soft and the ease of being able to breastfeed and not expose myself to everyone was a plus. I didn't breastfeed with my first so that was a new experience in itself, but my HMG helped me be a little less self conscience when we had company and she needed to nurse. I only wish we were having more kids so I could wear them again!” A Hot Mama from Arizona writes “It was great to be able to put on something that made me feel like a woman instead of a hospital patient. It was also nice to be in something that was discreet for nursing, but allowed the hospital staff access to my arms and back.”

The “Birth” of Hot Mama Gowns

Hot Mama Gowns were “birthed” at the same time Deidrea’s daughter was born in 2006. After an unmedicated, swift delivery; Deidrea became very aware of the used, chemical smelling, faded hospital gown she was wearing. The generic hospital gown did her no favors as she sat in the bed exhausted. When she wanted to breastfeed, she had to completely remove her arm from the gown, leaving her entire side exposed. Having friends and family walk in at all times made her very uncomfortable as she sat in the bed half exposed trying to nurse her baby. She knew there had to be a better way. So, on the car ride home from the hospital, she started designing an alternative to the generic gown.

She was committed to using only organic fabric and manufacturing in the US. She wanted the gowns to be stylish and comfortable, but also functional. She designed breastfeeding panels that would allow the Mom access to each of her breasts individually, without being exposed. She also created the gowns to be multifaceted, as the gowns can be used beyond the delivery day as transitional clothing for Mom to wear at home while she is healing and breastfeeding. The gowns have ribbon-tied panels which allow for expansion to accommodate a pregnant belly, but then can also be cinched in, transforming the gown into nursing pajamas or lounge wear.

The redesigned website offers a visually appealing, luxurious shopping experience. New photography, new products and new pricing provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. offers personal hospital maternity gowns, swaddling blankets, and gift sets in a variety of styles and sizes to fit every size Mom, belly and baby.
