Six Taste Food Tours will hold its first "Bizarre Food Tour Challenge" in San Gabriel Valley on April17, 2010. 10 guests will experience eight unusual Chinese dishes, including jellyfish, frog ovary, crocodile, and stinky tofu.

The challenge is $40 per person, and available to the first nine people to sign up through http://www.sixtaste.com. The tenth guest will be chosen randomly from Facebook or Twitter, through a social media contest. Beginning 12 AM, April 8th, social media users will be asked to solve clues and answer trivia questions related to bizarre foods and Six Taste's company history. The contest will close at 11:59PM on April 13. One winner will be chosen randomly from all trackable entries through mentions and @replies. The winner will receive the last available open spot on Six Taste's Bizarre Food Tour Challenge.

"What might seem bizarre to one person may be an everyday meal for another," says Six Taste Owner, Alex Tao. "We are encouraging people to come with an empty stomach and an open mind." Tao hopes each challenge tour guest will enjoy the tour's offerings, and no longer view them as novelty dishes.

Upon completion of the tour, guests will recieve a certificate and be featured in a special portion of Six Taste's website. Participating restaurants include Happy Kitchen and Nature Pagoda Restaurant. The tour will begin at 10:30AM, April 17th, at Focus Plaza, San Gabriel Square. Press and media are invited to cover the event.
