Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 1, 2010
Searching for the next great author talent, early registration has begun for BookBundlz’ semi-annual book contest, The Book Pick. Open to published and self-published authors alike, The Book Pick contest looks to help authors promote and gain the exposure their books deserves while introducing some great undiscovered books to the BookBundlz community of book clubs and book lovers. Submissions for early registration will run through April 11. Regular registration commences April 12th and ends May 8th.
In a time of change for the publishing industry, more and more authors are self-publishing or may be published but doing the majority of their own marketing . Many authors are trying to reach book clubs and generate that word of mouth buzz. BookBundlz has a direct pipeline to hundred’s of book clubs and thousands of readers that puts your book directly in front of these book enthusiasts and takes the uphill battle out of promoting it yourself.
“That is why we started this contest. We are looking for that undiscovered book that our book clubs will love to discuss and we want to give the author the exposure they deserve. Our Winter Book Pick contest turned out to be a great success and fun for the submitting authors as well as for our Clubie members. We are looking forward to our second book competition and hope to again find a great book gem that deserves recognition and exposure for the author in our book community,” said Barbie Larimore, BookBundlz founder.
About “The Book Pick” Contest:
Book submissions will be accepted from all published authors, which includes self-published, young, old, big names and unknowns, as long as the book is printed and has an actual ISBN number.
Once BookBundlz receives all of the book submissions, judges will narrow winners to The Top 5 final books. The Top 5 books will be listed on the BookBundlz site for three weeks. During that time, the book club community will vote for their favorite title. Votes will be tallied and the winning entry will be chosen as the BookBundlz Book Pick of the month.
Winter contest 09 Top 5 finalist, Joan Lerner said, “Becoming a finalist in the BookBundlz Book Pick Contest is a source of great pride. The attendant publicity "Among Us Women" got from appearing daily on its website, between selection by the committee and the membership vote, promoted sales and invitations from a couple of book clubs. I noted the honor on my own website (http://www.amonguswomen.com) and use it as a tag line when I speak about my book.”
