Villanova University has become the latest NCAA University to select FieldTurf for its main stadium, home to the school’s defending champion football team, field hockey team, and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams. The FieldTurf installation at Villanova Stadium is set to begin the last week of May. FieldTurf is the world’s safest and highest performing brand of artificial turf. Villanova Athletic Director Vince Nicastro and FieldTurf President Eric Daliere jointly made the announcement of the FieldTurf installation.

“After looking at all the different synthetic turf products and companies, we felt FieldTurf provided the best value,” stated Nicastro. “FieldTurf’s commitment to player safety and performance was a major factor in our decision. FieldTurf’s track record and their client list are second to none nationally.”

NFL Hall of Famer, Villanova Alumnus, and FieldTurf Spokesman Howie Long weighed in on the Villanova Stadium announcement. "I'm excited that my fellow Wildcats will be playing on FieldTurf. Like Villanova's athletic programs FieldTurf strives to be the best and has proven to be the leader in safety innovation for artificial turf surfaces. I'm proud to be associated with both FieldTurf and Villanova and I know Nova's decision to upgrade their playing surfaces will pay dividends for many years to come"

“We are pleased that the Wildcats’ administration thinks so highly of our product and our company,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “Everyone at FieldTurf is completely committed to providing the Wildcats and their fans with the safest world-class surface in existence. The defending Division 1 FCS Champs along with Wildcat field hockey and lacrosse will be playing on the industry’s most trusted turf system to go along with their athletics program that has become synonymous with excellence. This should be of great benefit to the athletes at Villanova.”

The Villanova Wildcats become the eighth football member of the Colonial Athletic Association to opt for a FieldTurf field on campus. They join the University of Delaware, Hofstra University, James Madison University, Towson University, College of William & Mary, University of Maine and the University of New Hampshire.
More than 100 top NCAA programs currently play and/or practice on FieldTurf including the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Texas Longhorns, West Virginia Mountaineers, Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks, Wisconsin Badgers, Illinois Fighting Illini, Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas State Wildcats, Boston College Eagles, Indiana Hoosiers, Minnesota Gophers, Missouri Tigers, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orangemen, Cincinnati Bearcats, and the Louisville Cardinals.
