Shape Up Arizona Wellness Expo: Announces SpongeBob Square Pants and Hip-Hop Artists To Be Featured At Health And Wellness Event

60 exhibitors and 50 sponsors, are participating in this one-day wellness event, slated for April 10, 2010 at Mesa Community College, 1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The family event is focused on a healthly lifestyle to encourage mind, body and emotional well being. The Shape Up Wellness Expo will provide a variety of educational and entertainment events for all ages. Attendance is free to all.

With over 60 exhibitors and 50 sponsors, this one-day wellness event, oriented to school age children and their families, is slated for April 10, 2010 at Mesa Community College, 1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Attendance is free to all.

Focused on a healthly lifestyle to encourage mind, body and emotional well being, the Shape Up Wellness Expo will provide a variety of educational and entertainment events for all ages. One and two-mile family fitness fun walks will begin with stretching at 9:30 am with SpongeBob Square Pants and Dora the Explorer.

Hip-Hop artists include Eric James and other live entertainment on two stages, Disney inflatables, the Phoenix Sun’s Gorilla, a rock climbing wall, free give-a-ways, health demonstrations and more. For more information go to http://www.ShapeUpUS.org.

Event sponsors include Dr. Helmut Oz’s HealthCorps, Banner Health Cardon Children’s Medical Center, Harkins Theaters, Safeway and Westcor.

She continues, “We strive to work with mind, body and emotion to achieve wellness. The emotional component is often missing from the formula, so we provide unique support in that area, with an emphasis on teaching children by using all five senses.”

Produced by Shape Up US, Inc. a non-profit organization founded by Jyl Steinback, is dedicated to providing teachers, children, parents and their community with educational tools to make informed decisions about their overall wellness. Shape Up US provides assistance, support and education to teachers so that positive, health-oriented information is available to students and their parents.

The Shape Up Arizona Wellness Expo is now presented twice yearly in the Phoenix, Arizona area, with addition events planned for Missouri, New York and California.
