Through Xlibris, author Leroy “Buzzy” Bussard shares the engaging story of
Hose Nose, Flip Flop and Trip-a-Lot, three peculiar yet special camels. Outcasts, these three camels chance upon a rare opportunity where they prove their worth.
The tale begins in one camel community, where Hose Nose, Flip Flop and Trip-a-Lot were born. Since their birth, their mothers have always tried to keep them away from the rest, fearful of what others might say about their odd features. Hose Nose has a big nose, Flip Flop has big ears, while Trip-a-Lot has big feet. However, as they began to interact with the rest of the group, both young and old laughed made fun of them, causing them deep hurt. The three camels grew up facing these challenges, holding on to each other for friendship and support.
Then the season changed and it was time for merchants to carry their goods across the desert. All the camels were picked up except for Hose Nose, Flip Flop and Trip-a-Lot. They felt sad at being left behind. But then one night, something strange happened. There was a bright light shining in the sky and it seems to be leading somewhere special. Three wise men saw it and thought to follow it. They picked Hose Nose, Flip Flop and Trip-a-Lot and set out on a long journey.
Along the way, they encounter difficulties but the three amazing camels prove their worth when they use their distinctive features to overcome each difficulty. At the end of their travel, they become witness to an extraordinary and momentous event that changes their lives. This engaging tale teaches kids to appreciate each other’s differences and that it is what is inside that counts, not how one looks on the outside.
