The National Law Journal (NLJ) named Thomas L. Sager, DuPont senior vice president and general counsel, among the most influential lawyers of the past decade. The journal selected 40 attorneys in 12 legal practices whose work significantly drove the profession forward. Sager was recognized in the 'in-house' legal area for his work in advancing alternative dispute resolution, developing innovative cost containment measures and championing diversity in the legal profession. The NLJ describes him as someone who "doesn’t follow legal trends. He starts them."
“Throughout his career, Tom has been an innovator and pioneer that has earned the respect of his peers within the legal profession,” said DuPont Chair and CEO Ellen Kullman. “He is a true champion in promoting and developing diversity not only within DuPont, but throughout the legal community. He has set an exceptional benchmark in fostering inclusiveness and further advancing the mission of the DuPont Legal Model, and I believe no one better exemplifies all that this recognition represents.”
