Pismo Beach, CA (PRWEB) April 2, 2010
Now in its 16th year, the 2010 Factoring Conference will take place on April 14 through April 17th at The Fairmont Scottsdale Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. With over 500 attendees and more than 40 exhibitors, the 2010 Factoring Conference is the world's largest conference dedicated to banks and finance companies which offer factoring and receivables financing. Registration is available online at http://www.factoringconference.com.
The three day conference kicks off with opening remarks from Bert Goldberg, President, of the International Factoring Association followed by keynote presentations by Dr. Barry Asmus, Economist, of Ideas Spoken, Inc. and Mr. Barry Minkow, CEO, of the Fraud Discovery Institute.
Dr. Barry Asmus has been named by USA Today as one of the five most requested speakers in the United States. As a Senior Economist for the prestigious National Center for Policy Analysis, Dr. Asmus does more than just speak on policies; he is actively involved with their implementation. With over twenty-five years experience on the speaking platform, Dr. Asmus presents a powerful picture of America’s future, both here and abroad. His latest book titled Bulls Don’t Blush, Bears Don’t Die provides an insightful summary of today’s economy, the problems facing it and proposed solutions to these problems.
Barry Minkow made headlines for being the youngest person in United States business history to take a company public before he was 21 years old. However, his company was built on fraud and deceit. He amassed over $20 million in loans from 15 different banks, including three investment banks and several private individuals – all for a company whose actual revenues were 90% less than what they reported and which never earned a profit in the five years it was in business. Since his release from prison after serving a lengthy sentence, Mr. Minkow has traveled the country speaking to and working with law enforcement agencies like the FBI, public accounting firms, the Institute of Internal Auditors, private business, and even the Pentagon. Barry Minkow is an executive and co-founder of the Fraud Discovery Institute, a licensed private investigating company that uses ex-convicts alongside seasoned auditors to prevent and detect ongoing white-collar fraud. As an expert on fraud, he has appeared on national television networks including FOX News, FOX Business, CNN and CNBC.
