On the web now is a new site promoting Amish Mennonite recipes, - http://www.miriamwagler.com.
They are Mennonite folk who have been cooking for over fifty years. Mr. Wagler is a retired Mennonite pastor. Through the years of being a pastor they did a lot of entertaining for the church. Getting older isn't something to look forward to, but because they have been cooking for over 50 years, they have had time to collect and improve recipes which can't be done in 20 or 30 years of cooking experience.
Over the years they have often been asked to print a cookbook. They are now publishing a website with their recipes. These are down to earth recipes that taste like Grandma's kitchen. Homemade food is so wonderful to the taste buds, so much healthier, and isn't loaded with preservatives.
Many of the ingredients are staples in everyone's pantry. Once someone gets started cooking from "scratch" they will never want to cook out of a box or can again. The company slogan is, "We not only cook from scratch, we make the scratch." Cooking is truly an art, and one that is worth pursuing.
Baking pies has been their specialty for many years. If anyone likes flaky, melt-in-your-mouth pie crust, make sure to take advantage of their recipe and soon-coming video, which will show step by step how to produce the best mouth-watering pie in the country.
Because of their Amish Mennonite heritage, these are true-blue Amish Mennonite recipes, not just so-called. Some of the recipes you will find are Amish Noodles, Pecan Brittle, Homemade Cottage Cheese, Soft Pretzels, and Pies, Pies, Pies!
The mission of http://www.miriamwagler.com is to encourage everyone to cook healthy meals, from scratch, for their family to enjoy, sitting around the table, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Everyone is in for a real treat when they visit this unique site filled with actual photos from their log cabin kitchen! They will be coming back for more when they browse the http://www.miriamwagler.com "gallery" of delicious, made from scratch, handed down and perfected recipe list from Grandma herself!
