Sutherland Cardiology Clinic partners with AVG and Walling Data to take back control of the network

Walling Data’s pricing was a winner, especially with the free support.

Vicki Hass joined Sutherland Cardiology Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, as IT Manager three years ago. Little did she know she'd spend her entire first year on a seemingly endless cycle of removing virus infections from more than 300 workstations; she had assumed they were protected with up-to-date installations from their anti-virus software.

Every day she received dozens of calls from employees looking for help troubleshooting the problems that turned out to be caused by viruses. The problem was so bad that she was unable to focus on the more productive aspects of her job. When she wasn't diagnosing workstation problems, she was delving into one or more of the 12 servers on the network that were also being hit by the virus invasion.

"I just got so fed up with the virus problem," Hass recalled. "It shouldn't have been happening. My time could have been used a lot more productively if our anti-virus protection had been doing its job. I'm responsible for ensuring that all the computers are functioning as they should be, but neither our servers nor our workstations were able to function effectively with this many viruses getting past our protection on a daily basis."

Hass knew something had to be done, because the anti-virus product they were using clearly was not performing effectively.

AVG Anti-Virus, Tried and True

Her thoughts immediately turned to AVG Anti-Virus Business Edition, as she'd used it in her previous position, and had never encountered the kind of problems she was seeing at Sutherland.

"I made the decision to switch to the tried and true," she said. "AVG's performance at my last position was stellar, so it was my first choice as a solution fix Sutherland's problems."

"I was going to shop around for prices but, once I was on the Walling Data website, I could see that I was going to get the best deal by far," she recalled. "I knew what we were paying for the other solution, so I knew Walling Data's pricing was a winner, especially with the free support."

Since her purchase, Hass has been more than satisfied with her decision to purchase AVG Anti-Virus from Walling Data.

"The purchase process was very easy, and they answered all my questions quickly and confidently," Hass said. "Their customer support has been great. I have only had one or two issues since we deployed AVG Anti-Virus Business Edition and Walling Data has always gotten back to me with a solution in less than 24 hours."

Walling Data is the longest-standing and highest-volume distributor of AVG Technologies solutions in North America. The company is also the only distributor to offer all its customers - resellers and end-users - free, unlimited, U.S.-based pre- and post-sales support.

Better and Better

Hass has upgraded the clinic's version of AVG Anti-Virus several times since the initial deployment, and has continued to work with Walling Data for each upgrade cycle.

"Both AVG and Walling just keep getting better and better, and the upgrade process was a snap," Hass said. "Our computer users don't notice a thing, but I certainly do! The software uses very little in the way of system resources, so users stay productive, and I'm not spending all my time fixing unnecessary problems. And even if there is a hiccup, Walling Data is right there to help me solve the problem."
