In reporting the increase, CEO Jaffer Ali remarked, “Since receiving our funding, we have been extremely deliberate with our business plan. We have refined our technology to deliver video views and visitors to brand websites, developed advanced tracking procedures to monitor both our content and related traffic, and proven the business model with key advertisers. In keeping with the explosive growth of our network’s reach, we now market Vidsense as the safe, scalable, online branding solution.”

Vidsense received its first round of financing in 2009. According to Ali, “Getting our funding allowed us the time we needed to slow down and pursue a deliberate growth process. Striking deals with large brand advertisers is the last piece of the puzzle. Ironically, it appears that this may be the easiest piece to fit because Vidsense scales so readily for large brands.”

Vidsense generates audience responses in scale through the use of video content instead of traditional display advertising. This scale is achieved by placing thumbnail invitations to view licensed video content clips (video snacks) across tens of thousands of safe-for-work websites comprising the Vidsense Video Snack Network. When a viewer (video snacker) clicks on a Vidsense thumbnail, he or she is immediately transported to a special landing page owned and operated by a Vidsense advertiser, where an embedded Vidsense video player serves up the chosen clip. The video snack is then consumed within the safe, exclusive confines of that advertiser’s branded surroundings.

Ali offered, “Rather than brands trying to reach consumers hit-and-miss in an unchecked, highly toxic media universe, we offer an effective, safe way for consumers to reach brands instead; on the brands’ own sites where they control their own branding environments. This is in stark contrast to the meaningless “reach” attributed to banner ads that few people see, and even fewer respond to. Replacing illusory reach with our proven reach is the main reason we have grown over 300%, despite having no formal sales staff. Our deliberate stealth posture, coupled with no overt sales effort whatsoever, makes our sales growth unusual – and compelling - in what many consider a challenging media environment.”
