Callfinity Announces New Transcription Services for Conferencing Service Providers

Callfinity Inc. has unveiled their new interactive transcription service for providers of conferencing services in North America. Uniquely, Callfinity's service combines transcription with time-synchronized replay of conference calls, allowing users to hear calls and see the transcript simultaneously.

Callfinity, a rapidly growing contact center and conferencing technology provider based outside of Rochester, NY announced today that they are now offering transcription services for conferencing service providers under the product name, Transplay(SM).

Businesses often record their telephone and video conference calls for later replay and reference. Transcription services like Callfinity's allow these customers to keep a text-based log of those recordings so that a word-for-word record is available for inclusion in other documents. For example, transcriptions can be used to create meeting minutes or action items for all participants on a conference call. Callfinity's transcription service uses human transcriptionists instead of automated speech recognition technology to ensure accuracy, but does so in an exclusive and innovative way that makes the transcription process more efficient. As a result, Callfinity is able to offer lower prices than other competitors.

Whereas other transcription services only provide a text document, Callfinity Transplay uniquely provides an integrated replay of a conference call that includes a real-time transcription of the entire call. By integrating powerful search and playback features, Callfinity has combined transcribed text with the original audio or video file. Using a method similar to closed captioning, the transcribed text appears in a window below the audio or video recording. As the audio and/or video plays, each word is highlighted as it’s spoken, allowing you to simultaneously read the transcribed text while listening to the original audio. Further, users can click on any point in the text to hear that part of the replay, and users can similarly jump to any point in the audio or video to see that point in the text.

Jeff Valentine, CEO of Callfinity, Inc., announced the new service. “Many of our current customers mentioned a need for transcription services.” said Valentine. “Currently, CSPs have very limited options with regard to transcription, and the output has always been flat … nothing more than a text document. We used customer feedback to help us add a multimedia replay experience to transcriptions such that users can actually interact with a transcription in real time. This is a game-changer for the transcription industry.” Callfinity's transcription process is patent-pending.

In addition to providing simple transcriptions of calls and dynamic replays with interactive transcriptions, Transplay features include keyword density reports, the ability to use any file format, a convenient and easy-to-use search function, and web-based playback (no software needed). The service can also be fully-branded and integrated into your business. For complete details about Callfinity’s Transplay service, go to http://www.callfinity.com/transcription.
