DealerRater, the nation’s premier car dealer review website, announced today a 1,000th member joined its Certified Dealer Program. This milestone shows that car dealers nationwide are enjoying the benefits of managing their reputation through online consumer reviews at DealerRater.
“We are proud to welcome our 1,000th Certified Dealer to our community,” stated Chip Grueter, president of DealerRater. “Our network of Certified Dealers stretches across the country and their participation in our program signals to the users of DealerRater their dealership’s commitment to a high level of customer service.”
The DealerRater Certified Dealer Program launched in February 2008 and now users can find Certified Dealers in 44 states. Certified Dealers see four times the amount of user interest than non-certified dealers signaling that consumers value their high levels of customer service. Dealers have used the program to maintain their online reputation which is critical as more than 62% of consumers read online reviews and of those 62% of consumers, 82% of them have their purchase decisions influenced by the reviews they read, according to a study by Deloitte.
DealerRater users should feel confident working with Certified Dealers based on their high level of customer attention and willingness to work with customers to provide a great car buying experience. Each Certified Dealer must pass an evaluation in order to be considered for the program. Criteria include overall number of reviews as well as their dealership’s rating, or PowerScore.
DealerRaterTM was founded in 2002 as the first car dealer review Web site worldwide. DealerRater is committed to providing a central collection point for informative reviews. The site currently features more than 24,000 US and International car dealers and more than 125,000 user reviews. DealerRater provides the opportunity for users to search for car dealerships, read current reviews, write their own review, and find car deals – all for free. Car dealers are rated on the criteria of customer service, quality of work, friendliness, price and overall experience. DealerRater users also have the option to recommend the dealer to other users and provide a descriptive review. Web site users and car dealerships may post free auto classified ads. DealerRater visitors may request vehicle quotes and Certified Dealers receive free vehicle leads.
