...this latest release cements IntApp’s position as the market leader for law firm confidentiality management.

IntApp, Inc., the leading provider of risk management software for the legal industry, today announced that Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, an integrated firm of more than 250 lawyers with offices in Toronto, Montréal and New York, leverages IntApp Wall Builder to manage and enforce confidentiality policies and track compliance across the firm.

Wall Builder is a web-based confidentiality management application that enables organizations to centrally control, monitor and report on user access permissions across multiple applications including document management, accounting, portal, CRM, time entry and records management systems. It also automates notifications to individuals subject to specific policies and tracks acknowledgments for compliance purposes.

“We implemented IntApp Wall Builder because we recognized the need to address the confidentiality requirements facing Canadian firms and wanted to use the best product available,” said Ivo Nikolov, Director of Information Technology, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. “We recently made the decision to upgrade to Wall Builder 4.1 because this latest release cements IntApp’s position as the market leader for law firm confidentiality management. IntApp has demonstrated a commitment to providing excellent client service and working collaboratively with our firm to support our ongoing risk management and compliance efforts.”

Law firms must closely manage and track internal access to client information for many reasons. These include ethical screens in response to Law Society of Upper Canada Rule 2.05, client outside counsel guidelines, and compliance with data privacy regulations.

Wall Builder replaces distributed, ad hoc approaches to information security with a centralized system that provides organizations with unprecedented capability and control over user access to specific applications, documents and other information. It’s the only product for law firms that delivers real-time enforcement while updating access rights in response to lawyer behavior to ensure that policies are kept up to date automatically.

“By using Wall Builder, Davies is able to demonstrate that it’s taking strong measures to respond to ethical screening rules, client guidelines, and confidentiality and technology standards defined by the Canadian Bar Association,” said Pat Archbold, head of IntApp's Risk Practice Group. “We value the input and guidance we receive from Davies and their peers in our growing client community, insight that helps us ensure that the products and services we provide to clients best address existing and emerging industry needs.”
