Ten Stone Edge Order Manager Users to Speak at 2010 Internet Retailer Conference

Long-time Order Manager users have grown to become industry leaders

Ten of the speakers at this year’s Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition will have something else in common: they are all long-time users of the Stone Edge Order Manager. The Internet Retailer Conference is the industry’s largest annual event. This year’s meeting will take place June 8th to 11th in Chicago, and will include 175 speakers on a wide variety of topics for Internet merchants. Ten of those speakers own or work for nine different companies that have been using the Stone Edge Order Manager for an average of more than five years, and they all currently use the Enterprise Version of the program.

One of the ten speakers will be David Goldsholle, the founder of DoItYourself.com and HardwareAndTools.com. Goldsholle created his company’s first Web site in 1995, and started doing ecommerce in the late 1990s. He was an early adopter of the Stone Edge Order Manager, having purchased it all the way back in 2001. “I do not know how we would have stayed in business without it,” he says. “It made control easy, instead of a nightmare!” At the Internet Retailer Conference, Goldsholle will discuss “Online Merchandising Technologies: Creating a Better Experience”.

Another long-time user of the Stone Edge Order Manager is Mike Neff, Director of E-Commerce for Sports Unlimited, an on-line sporting goods retailer. “Sports Unlimited’s mission is to excel as a global leader in the online sporting goods and outdoor gear industries through cutting edge products and superior service,” he explained. “We have been Stone Edge Order Manager users since 2004. As our business has grown, so has our need for better order management software. Stone Edge has been able to grow with us to meet our ever-changing demands.” Neff’s talk at the Conference will be on “Analytics: A New Tool for Budget Insights”.

Todd Morris CEO of BrickHouse Security will speak on “Demystifying Data Integration”. BrickHouse provides security and surveillance products to consumers and businesses of all sizes. The company’s clients include about half of the Fortune 500 and more than 500 local and national government agencies, such as the NYPD, LA County Sheriffs, and the FBI. BrickHouse was recently featured on the CBS Early Show, NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, and Fox News. “We set up the Stone Edge Order Manager in our first few months when there were just 2 of us handling 8 orders a day,” says Morris. “Today we process hundreds of orders each day, plus thousands of recurring monthly charges using the Stone Edge Subscription Manager. The low entry cost of the Order Manager enabled us to grow our company organically, and the open architecture allowed us to integrate the data into our other systems and add custom features ourselves.”

Pavel Shvartsman is the Co-Founder and President of OpticsPlanet Inc., one of the Internet Retailer Top 500 for several years now, and an Order Manager user since 2003. Optics Planet sells just about everything optical, from sunglasses to telescopes. They were one of the first users to adopt the more powerful Enterprise Version of the Stone Edge Order Manager when it was first introduced in 2005. They have a team of in-house programmers who have expanded on the Order Manager, adding features specific to their needs and integrating it with other systems. Pavel’s talk will be on “Using Niche Stores to Grab Opportunities”.

Julie Swatek, President of ScrapYourTrip.com (Order Manager users since 2006) and Rob Snell, Co-Owner of Gun Dog Supply (Stone Edge users since 2008), will share the podium to discuss “Lean and Mean Customer Engagement Strategies”.

Kevin Hickey, Vice President of OnlineStores.com, will participate in a session on “Sourcing Products: The Many Options”. Online Stores was also one of the 2009 Internet Retailer Top 500. They have been using the Order Manager since 2005.

David Redlich, President of ReStockIt.com, will discuss “Sourcing for E-Retail Expansion”, and Jennifer diMotta, ReStockIt’s Vice President of Marketing, will help you “Rate Your E-Commerce Technology”. ReStockIt has been using the Stone Edge Order Manager since 2005. They were also one of the 2009 Internet Retailer Top 500.

Paul Holstein, Vice President of CableOrganizer.com, will tell you “How to Borrow Your Customers’ Ideas and Look Like a Genius”. CableOrganizer was a Top 500 merchant in 2009. They purchased the Order Manager in 2003.
