Spring cleaning time is here and Keys Weecycle provides an opportunity to turn all that clutter cleaning into cash! Keys WeeCycle, the Florida Keys first and only children’s seasonal consignment sale, is holding its next sale in Islamorada on May 1-2, 2010, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. both days. The Spring/Summer sale will be held at Holiday Isle Resort, MM 84, in the Horizon Room. The event will feature thousands of new and like-new items from maternity to juniors. The first three Keys Weecycle sales proved hugely successful with hundreds of shoppers from Miami to Key West taking advantage over 3000 gently used and new items from more than 30 different consignors. In addition to the great deals, this year’s sale floor will also provide the most spectacular Ocean view in Islamorada.

At Keys Weecyle we know that kids are expensive and believe their stuff doesn’t have to be! The Spring/Summer consignment sale is an excellent opportunity for moms to clean out and cash in on their kids stuff that is too good to give away! It is also an opportunity for moms to buy gently-used maternity and children’s clothing, as well as other related items including toys, baby gear, furniture, books, dvd’s and sports stuff – at reasonable prices. Brand names include Gap, Gymboree, Ralph Lauren, OshKosh, and Stride Rite, just to name a few.

Consignors have the opportunity to earn up to 75% commission on their items; do not have to be present at the sale to participate; and can choose to donate their unsold items. Keys Weecycle’s modern web-based registration system produces bar-coded tags making it easy for consignors to organize, price and sell their items. Consignors also receive an additional bonus of being invited to shop at the private pre-sale on Saturday morning prior to the event opening to the public.

“If you are a mother-to-be who needs to stock up, or a parent whose house is filled to the brim with bins of clothes and toys your children have outgrown, this event is for you,” said Shirley Wilson, who co-owns the business with Judy Hull. “Unlike the traditional garage sale, this event ranges over two days so that moms can shop at their convenience. Great bargains are guaranteed to be found both days, especially during our half-price sale on Sunday!”

Why shop at Keys WeeCycle? The answer is quite simple: both Wilson and Hull know the business of motherhood, as well as how to put a motherly touch on their business endeavor. Judy Hull is a grandmother and an active buyer and seller of children’s items on eBay. Shirley Wilson is a mother of a two-year-old girl and has experienced first hand the frustration of shopping for baby – only to have her daughter outgrow clothing and toys at a rapid pace.

“Shopping at Keys Weecycle saved me time and money driving to the mainland and ordering online,” said new mother Meeja Ritchie-Smith. “The timing is perfect for the next Keys Weecycle sale because my one-year-old son Max is ready to advance to the next level of learning toys and clothes. I can't wait!”

Both ladies are Keys residents and experienced in event organization. According to Hull, “Events like this one are becoming extremely popular around the country, and we have a huge need in the South Florida area that we believe Keys WeeCycle will address.”

Not only do the consignors and shoppers benefit from Keys Weecycle but several local children's charities do as well. Unsold items that have been marked to donate with be distributed to local charities in need of quality children's items.

Keys Weecycle seasonal consignment sale takes place two times a year, each Spring and Fall. The next Keys Weecycle will be held May 1-2, 2010 at Holiday Isle Resort & Marina, Horizon Room, from 10am – 3pm both days.
