MHF Services (MHF), a leading provider of packaging, transportation, logistics and technical services, was a winner of the 2009 CSX Transportation (CSXT) Chemical Safety Excellence Award. The award is given by CSXT to companies for their commitment to rail car maintenance and safety.
To be eligible for the award, a company must ship 600 or more rail cars per year on CSXT and have no non-accidental releases during the entire year.
Robert C. Woodburn, Manager of Operations, and Patrick Alcorn, Business Development Manager for Hazardous/Non-Hazardous Materials, accepted the award on behalf of MHF at a ceremony held March 17 in Baltimore, MD.
Woodburn said, “We are honored to be recognized for our ongoing commitment to safety. This award is a testament to the success of our thorough rail car inspection processes and operational experience transporting hazardous materials.”
