America’s credit union members can invest, donate and save all at the same time when they sign up with the nation’s No.1 satellite TV service, while helping sick and injured kids in local communities with a new partnership between Invest in America and DIRECTV.

Through the exclusive members-only program, credit union members will receive $5.00 off per month on the first 12 months of a DIRECTV subscription, in addition to any other DIRECTV promotions. As an added bonus, $15.00 will be deposited into their credit union savings or checking account. Through this partnership, CUcorp will also donate $10.00 for each new subscriber to Children’s Miracle Network, the charity of choice for America’s credit unions.

“It’s a ‘triple win’ for credit union members who benefit from DIRECTV discounts, add to their savings account and contribute to a great cause,” said David Adams, CUcorp CEO. “Members save a total of $60.00 annually on a DIRECTV subscription, then add another $15.00 boost to their savings or checking account and, to top it all off, they can feel good about enabling a contribution that helps kids in their community who need the best in medical care.”

DIRECTV has been America’s No. 1 satellite TV provider for the past 15 years, delivering programming to more than 18 million households. A pioneer in television technology, DIRECTV has the capacity for over 200 HD Channels and the highest quality picture. DIRECTV also offers the most movies in Blu-ray quality 1080 p HD. As they continue to push the technology envelope, DIRECTV will soon be the first television service to launch 3D television. With Emmy Award-winning interactive channels, TV apps, Media Share, and DIRECTV2PC, DIRECTV continues to be the most user friendly television service available.

Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals. These premier children’s hospitals provide state-of-art care, research, preventative health education and treatment for children with every disease and injury imaginable. Credit unions have been one of Children’s Miracle Network’s top contributors since 1996 when the Credit Unions for Kids program launched nationwide. Since its inception, the Credit Unions for Kids program has generated more than $75 million for children’s hospitals.

“This credit union-DIRECTV campaign is just one more example of how credit unions are giving back to their local communities,” said Joe Dearborn, Senior Managing Director for Children’s Miracle Network and the Credit Unions for Kids program. “Last year alone, the credit union movement raised almost $8.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network which allowed affiliated children’s hospitals to provide care for 17 million kids.”
